Our Team
Steve Hood, Owner/President
Over the years, I’ve worked hard to build Hood & Company into a business known for doing things the right way—operating with integrity, understanding the technical side of our products, and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with our dealers. I’ve spent decades in the field, collaborating closely with manufacturers and dealers to help grow their brands and provide real, workable solutions for the people who use the equipment every day. Focusing on long-term partnerships and applying practical industry experience has been key to our success for nearly forty years.
Jesse Grant, Outside sales
Jesse Grant joins Hood & Company as an Outside Sales Representative serving the mid-south. Based in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jesse brings more than two decades of agricultural experience and deep relationships across the region's dealer and farming communities. His career spans sales leadership at SA-AG, technical development research at Monsanto, outside sales with Wade Inc. and Doggett Heavy Machinery, and several years running his own land and timber business. He holds an Agronomy degree from Mississippi State University, a Business Administration degree from Delta State University, and a Forestry Tech certification from Holmes Junior College, and he brings expert knowledge of localized corn hybrids, cotton, and soybean varieties paired with hands-on experience in Trimble, Greenstar, Raven, and Precision Planting systems.
Josh Metsker, Sales Engineer
I’m committed to helping others and leading well, with a focus on building strong teams and solving real problems. I’ve spent the past ten years as a Sales Engineer at Hood & Company, working closely with customers to understand their challenges and deliver practical, reliable solutions. Before that, I served as an engineer officer in the U.S. Army, an experience that shaped how I approach leadership, responsibility, and decision-making under pressure. I enjoy tackling complex problems, continually learning, and improving my skills, both professionally and personally, including as a pilot.
Shad mcguire, inside sales
A southwest Missouri native, Shad McGuire grew up on a dairy farm and continues to work a small hobby farm of his own. He joins Hood & Company as Inside Sales Representative following a 26-year career in public education, where he served as a business teacher and football coach and earned his Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.). That blend of hands-on farm experience and a background in teaching makes him a natural fit for helping dealers and customers find the right equipment solutions. Shad is glad to be working alongside a respected team and welcomes the chance to assist however he can.
Jennifer Honeycutt, Parts manager
I've been with Hood & Company's parts department for several years and was recently promoted to Parts Manager. I bring the same dedication to this role that I gave to raising my family for nearly nine years before joining the team. Whether you're a dealer or a farmer, I'm here to help you find the right parts and answer any questions along the way. I look forward to hearing from you!
Stephanie cline, Bookkeeper
I’ve had the privilege of joining Hood & Company several years ago as a bookkeeper, where I manage financial operations. My focus is to assist our customers with reliable and accurate processes by placing their needs at the forefront to ensure smooth transactions. I take great pride in working with the agricultural industry and helping support our skilled team, as we represent manufacturers and provide dealer services.
Together, we supply our customers with innovative and efficient farm equipment and parts that help them succeed. This is our passion.
